About the workshop
Codes of Ethics are evolving, dynamic documents designed to help us navigate challenging issues that arise in our practice as mental health clinicians. In this training we will use Codes of Ethics to problem solve sample situations in a lively small group format. The instructor will review the ethical decision making process and guide the participants through a series of vignettes using the Codes of Ethics of ACA, NASW and AAMFT as guideposts. The day is designed to be lively and interactive, and meet the Washington state law and ethics requirement.
Participants will:
-
Learn the key elements of the ethical decision making process.
-
Increase skills in using the Code of Ethics as a resource.
-
Improve awareness of current ethical issues shaping our practice environment.
